1. When and where will the Walk be held?
The Community Chest Heartstrings Walk 2019 will be held on Sunday, 4 August 2019 at Event Plaza, Marina Bay Sands.
2. What time does the Fun Walk start?
The Fun Walk will start at 8.15am. There will be a mass warm up before the flag-off.
3. When and where will I be able to collect my walk pack?

4. How long is the Fun Walk route?
The Fun Walk is approximately 4km.
5. Do I have to complete the entire Fun Walk route?
We encourage all participants to complete the Fun Walk route and join us for the Family Carnival at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza.
6. Will the event proceed in the event of rain?
In the event of adverse weather due to unforeseen circumstances, the organisers reserve the right to cancel the event without any refund.
7. What type of attire is appropriate for the event?
Participants are advised to wear light and comfortable clothes to prevent heat exhaustion and dehydration. A good pair of shoes that can withstand walking long distances is recommended and do drink enough water throughout the event.
8. Where are the first aid and water points?
First Aid Point: Event Plaza, Marina Bay Sands
Water Points: (1) Event Plaza and (2) Customs House
Ambulance: Carpark behind Marina Bay City Gallery
Participants experiencing difficulty can seek assistance from marshalls along the route.
9. How do I get to the event venue?
(A) BY MRT
Marina Bay Sands is linked directly to CE1/DT16 Bayfront Station on the Circle Line and Downtown Line of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) train system.
MRT services to/from Bayfront Station operate daily from (approximately) 6:00am to 12:00am midnight.
Exits at Bayfront Station:
Exits C & D - Connect to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (1 minute walk), Sands Expo & Convention Centre (3 minute walk), the Hotel (5 minute walk), Sands SkyPark (10 minute walk), ArtScience Museum (10 minute walk), and Sands Theatre (10 minute walk). Signs direct the way to each location and other attractions at Marina Bay Sands.
Exit E - Connects to Sands Expo & Convention Centre.
(B) BY PUBLIC BUS
Marina Bay Sands is serviced by the following bus routes:
97 / 106 / 518 / 133 / 502 (every day)
NR1 / NR6 (late night Fri, Sat & eve of public holidays)

03511 - Marina Bay Sands MICE (outside Sands Expo & Convention Centre, opposite Hotel Lobby Tower 1)
03519 - Opp. Marina Bay Sands MICE (opposite Sands Expo & Convention Centre, adjacent to Hotel Lobby Tower 1)
Two street underpasses and the Garden Bay Bridge over Bayfront Avenue link between the Hotel side and the convention centre, theatres and retail mall side.
10. Is there any bag deposit service?
Bag deposit service is not available. You are encouraged not to bring valuable items and to carry your personal belongings with you at all times. Organisers are not liable for any loss and/or damage of items.
11. Can I bring young children or babies to the Fun Walk?
The Fun Walk is for everyone to enjoy! Young children or babies in strollers are welcome. Please note that only registered participants are entitled to a goodie bag per participant, after the Fun Walk, while stocks last.
12. Can I use personal mobility devices, inline skates or bicycle?
For safety reasons, personal mobility devices (purely for leisure usage), inline skates and/or bicycles are not allowed along the Fun Walk route.
13. Are toilets provided along the route?
Please check with the marshalls along the route who will be able to point you to the nearest toilet facilities.
14. Are showering facilities provided?
Showering facilities will not be provided.
15. What is in store after I complete the Fun Walk?
Join us at the Family Carnival which will take place at the Event Plaza till 11.00am. With a wide variety of games and activities, the Family Carnival promises to be a fun-filled experience for the whole family!
16. When is the closing date for registration?
Registration for the walk will close on 25 July 2019, 5pm. However, do note that there will be limited number of goodie bags given out on a first-come-first-serve basis. For further enquiries, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
17. How much is the registration fee for the Fun Walk?
The Fun Walk registration fee is $10 per participant.
18. Will I be able to claim tax deduction for the Fun Walk registration fees?
We regret that the registration fees are not eligible for tax deduction.
19. Do I get a refund if I have registered but am unable to participate on event day?
We regret that registration fees are not refundable.
20. When and where can I collect my goodie bag?
Goodie bags can be collected at the Goodie Bag Redemption Booth at the Event Plaza, Marina Bay Sands, after the Fun Walk. Please ensure that you have your goodie bag redemption coupon with you, in order to redeem your goodie bag.
21. What happens in the event of an adverse haze situation?
On 3 August 2019, the day before the event, the organisers will take reference to NEA’s air quality forecast for the next 24-hour at 6pm. On the day of the walk on 4 August 2019, the organisers will take reference to NEA’s 3-hour PSI reading at each hour.
When the PSI is between 100 and 200, the organisers will likely decide to cancel the Vertical Marathon and 4km Fun Walk, but the Family Carnival activities will carry on. All participants may collect their goodie bag and join the Family Carnival or choose to take their leave.
When the PSI is above 200, ALL activities will be cancelled and participants, guests, volunteers and staff should proceed to the nearest indoor location.
