Amid the Covid-19 situation, FairPrice Group pledged to contribute up to $378,000 to engage the community to do good and provided incentives to appreciate healthcare workers for their dedication.

From 5th to 18th March 2020, under the Community Chest Heartstrings Buy initiative, FairPrice and its strategic partners pledged a dollar-for-dollar matching donation, up to $240,000, for over 30 selected items purchased at all FairPrice and Cheers outlets. Donations raised from the Heartstrings Buy initiative will go towards funding the various charity programmes to empower the lives of the less privileged including adults with disabilities, children with special needs and youth-at-risk, families in need, persons with mental health conditions, and vulnerable seniors.

Besides monetary donations, FairPrice Group also showed their appreciation for all hospital healthcare providers. From 4 to 17 March 2020, selected NTUC Foodfare and Kopitiam provided S$120,000 worth of MILO beverages to all hospital healthcare providers, and from 4 to 10 March, Wang Café, a subsidiary of NTUC Foodfare, provided S$18,000 worth of homemade barley to all healthcare providers.

We would like to extend our utmost appreciation to FairPrice Group for their heartwarming initiative in stepping forward to engage the community to do good, especially helping the lives of those in need as well as our selfless healthcare professionals during this challenging period.
